FAQ
Classes
We limit to 12 students for each primary class and 15 students for secondary classes.
We believe in giving personal attention to each and every student that comes here to UPT to learn. This will ensure that the tutors will be able to monitor the development of the students.
Once the class reaches the maximum number of students, the class will be split into 2 different classes. This is to ensure the attention given to each student is not reduced.
All classes will be conducted once a week and each class is 1.5 hours.
Yes. This is sufficient for students to understand the concept of the subject and also for the tutor to do practices in class. This time frame is just right to provide enough stimuli for the student to explore, learn and grow. Anything more that this will overburden the students, making learning ineffective.
We have planned for 44 classes per subject for each calendar year. This is to adjust for certain months having 4 or 5 weeks.
We only observe 14 public holidays and major holidays such as Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas… Please refer to our list of public holidays observed by UPT.
Our classes will run as usual during school holidays but on certain holidays like Hari Raya and Chinese New Year, there will be extended holidays.
Yes. There will not be any changes to the timetable. However, there may be situations where there might be changes (emergency holidays announced by the government and any other unforeseeable changes.) Should there be any changes, we will inform you the moment we receive any information. Please keep us updated with your latest contact details.
No, there will not be any replacement classes if the student misses the class. However, if the class has been postponed, the class will be replaced. Replacement will be arranged based on the arrangements of UPT, the tutor and the students of the affected class.
Yes. The students will be provided by the notes custom written by our panel of trainers and tutors. The notes are in line with the government syllables and are updated following the Ministry of Education adjustments.
On top of that, students will also need to purchase additional workbooks and exercises to enhance their understanding of the subjects.
Progress assessments are carried out periodically, usually after the tutor has covered the topics. All marks are recorded and will be compiled into a report that will be made available to all parents/guardians during our Report Card Day. Also included in the report will be the student’s learning attitude, behaviour in class and other observations made by the tutor.
There will be 2 Report Card Days, one in the first quarter and the other in the third quarter.
Parents are invited to visit us and speak to our tutors to understand their child’s performance and also to discuss ways to work together to improve their child’s academic and personal development.

Yes. Private classes are available if students require additional assistance in their academic studies. This gives flexibility to the parents and students to adjust the class based on their convenience. Most importantly, students will be able to work on areas they are weak in and also to have a better understanding in the subjects.
Students can opt for short term private class to improve on certain topics or long term classes for private academic coaching.

Our tutors are specially selected based on their expertise in the area that they will teach and have gone through intensive training in the area of education and coaching. They have vast experience in helping others achieve academic excellence.
We also believe in mentorship for students and UPT tutors are selected based on their high moral values, ethics and passion for helping others achieve excellence.

Our tutors are multilingual and will explain the subjects in a language that is most comfortable for the students. This is to ensure that the students understand the topic taught. While explaining the questions, the tutor will use the language the subject will be tested on. With practice, the students will be able to answer the questions based on the examiners’ requirements.
In the case of language classes, emphasis will be given to the language taught.
Yes. Homework given is not to burden the students but to allow the student to have a better understanding of the lesson taught. This is also to encourage the students to revise the topic, enabling them to transfer the information to their long-term memory.
Yes. We follow the school syllabus. This will allow our tutors to check the students’ comprehension on the topic. There will be a lot of class practices based on the topic covered, so that the students not only understand the topic but also have the ability to apply the concept in exams and in the real world.
That’s our advantage as the tutors have a small age gap. This will allow the tutors to have better communication channels with the students. Tutors understand the learning process of the students better as their own learning experience are still fresh in their mind.
Students at this age are looking for role models and this is the vital age where if they are easily influence by the friends they mix with and the information they obtain online. Our aim is not only to educate but also to guide where necessary. Our tutors are certified NLP practitioners and have been trained and guided by certified trainers to take on the role of tutors and also coaches.
As the students are well verse with modern technologies, tutors will be using a wide variety of media to illustrate their points. Classrooms at UPT are equipped with Audio Video equipment to facilitate learning.
Relevant videos and articles relating to the subject taught will be posted online and students will have access to these sites. PowerPoint Slides will also be available for students to download for future reference.
We want to create a wholesome learning environment that prepares students for the real world. It is never too early to start.
Fees
Our fee is based on the number of subjects the student is taking. Students have the flexibility to select the number of subjects that they would like to take.
No. Even though we do pay GST but we have chosen to absorb it as not to burden the parents.
Yes. While we do provide notes to all our students, workbooks are still an important part of the learning process. These books will be sourced and purchased for our students. An invoice will be issued at the market price for the books.
No. The monthly tuition fee is inclusive of notes and all printed materials.
No. Fees will be charged on the number of weeks remaining in the month. We take one month as 4 weeks.
For new students, a registration fee of RM 100 and refundable deposit of RM 100 will be charged. There will be no other fees. All fees should be paid before the commencement of the class.
The fee is due on the first day of every month.
No. Notes and class allocated is on a monthly basis. No partial/pro-rate refund is allowed under any circumstances.
Unfortunately no. You can either make payment by cash or cheque to “ULTIMATE PERFORMERS TUITION SDN BHD”.
